Ostara 2010

April 15th thru 18th 2010

 

Hammer of Thor Kindred invites you to join us as for Ostara 2010  We are going to be at the Camp Norga in California's Beautiful  Sierra Mountains.  Camp Norga is approximately 60 East of Sacramento on Highway 80 to Reno. 

Registration includes two nights TENT camping (Friday and Saturday), Saturday night feast, and one raffle ticket.

Fees: $75 per person or $140 per couple Children under 13 Free.

Thursday arrival is an additional $60 per couple or $45.00 per person Children under 13 Free.

Dorm Rooms

Dorm rooms are 1st come 1st served and must be cleared in advance by prior reservation with Stefn at  RAVENX333@aol.com before any fees are accepted. Cost is $160.00 a couple for April 16-18. An additional fee of $80.00 a couple for Thursday, April 15th  arrival. Cost for individual's are $130.00 for April 16-18.  $40.00 additional fee for Thursday, April 15th arrival. Children 6 years and under are free. Children over six are $10.00 a night. ALL reservations must be made with The Hammer Of Thor Kindred. Camp Norge will NOT make, nor accept, any reservations for this event. An additional late fee of $10.00 will be charged for all reservations made after April 1st.

Seidhr—the oracular rite with Well and Tree

Valkyrie Games—and the Children’s’ Viking Games just before the Valkyrie Games

Falconry—A hawk walk or falconry demonstration where participants learn about man’s history with raptors

Vending-the finest wares in heathendom!

Raffle and Saturday night feast.

We need volunteers to help with preparing for the Feast on Saturday night, If you can help cook, set up or clean up let us know.  Contact Stefn at RAVENX333@aol.com and let him know that you will help with Feast on Saturday Night.  Every little bit helps in getting Dinner going so please if you can, VOLUNTEER.  

Rules and Campground Information

 Dogs are allowed, but must be ON LEASH ONLY.  NO DOGS ALLOWED IN DORMS. NO firearms allowed at all.  NO ground fire’s allowed, but portable fire pits may be used. There is electricity at most campsites and running water.  

 Also, please leave any recorded music, videos or other noisy technology at home so that all can enjoy the natural setting without disturbance.  All camping is by tent, and all activities are out of doors.  There are some dorm rooms available, 1st come 1st served.  Dress for warm weather during the day and cool weather at night. Alcohol is allowed.  Except for the Saturday feast, all meals are your responsibility.   Unlike past gatherings, there will be NO FOOD PLAN at this time.

Directions to Camp Norga:

 CAMP NORGE - Sons of Norway Recreation Center
IS LOCATED ON INTERSTATE 80 APPROXIMATELY HALF WAY BETWEEN SACRAMENTO AND RENO.

Southern California Take 99 to Sacramento and get onto 80 to Reno, its approximately 60 miles from Sacramento. 

From Nevada Take 395 To Reno and get onto 80 West and its approximately 73 Miles from Reno

TAKE EXIT 146. If you are traveling East - turn right. If you are traveling West - turn left. Go to the end of the road (about a city block) - turn left (about another city block)  the road divides. Go to your right - up the hill. We are located on the top on the hill, 1/2 mile from the freeway. WE ARE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY FROM THE TOWN OF ALTA.
If you go Alta, do not ask for directions to Camp Norge, the local residents know us as the "Sons of Norway Recreation Center."
